Résumé

Experimental studies were conducted of the filtration rate of molluscs (Mytilaster lineatus [Gmel.], Cerastoderma lamarckiç Reeve]) in solutions of yeast, clay, and of three species of oils (Sangachaly, Artem, and Neftyanye Kamni oil fields) which contaminate the Caspian Sea. The filtration rate proved to be in direct proportion to the dimensions of individuals, and in inverse proportion to the concentration of solution The oil of Neftyanye Kamni proved to be the most toxic, and that of Sangachaly-the least toxic. C. lamarcki is the most active filtration organism.
